It was a beautiful, stormy day at Playa Corozalito on the Pacific coast of Guanacaste. There were turtle eggs in the sand. Clouds in the sky and intermittent rain. It was just us and the man who is the self-appointed guardian of the turtles on this beach.
Yes, us, and the hermit crabs. There were also hermit crabs. They sported a dazzling array of shells. It was so fun to watch them. Here’s a video of that I’m calling “The Reluctant Social Life of Hermit Crabs”.
